In the fall of 2016 I participated as a sort of comics journalist to document the experiences of patients seeking care at the free public health clinic that King County and the Seattle Center foundation put on at Seattle Center. My short time there allowed me to speak with a variety of patients and learn of their plights in seeking affordable and reliable care. Here is the story of George, one that resonates strongly with myself and others who currently benefit from the Affordable Care Act but are aware of its shortcomings and fraught with uncertainty in the face of the sweeping changes that the current administration is likely to propose. This was a meaningful project for me and I'm proud to have been able to contribute.
